Dona Cata

Looking for a quick “lighter” lunch, we chose Dona Cata on Wednesday.  I was surprised to see that they had moved some of their front counter around, and, that they were only accepting cash – luckily David had $20 🙂

Wall of Mexican Sayings

I’m glad they didn’t paint over their wall of sayings 🙂

Mexican pop is *much* sweeter

I started off with a Jarritos Pineapple pop – it’s crazy sweet, like candy, but tasty with the spicy sauces.  Speaking of which, I am a big fan of the free chips to go with the salsa bar, but not of the disposable plate.

2 Longaniza + 1 Carnitas

I chose three tacos for my lunch – 2 longaniza (pork sausage) and 1 carnitas (roasted pulled pork).  These were great as always.

1 Longaniza, 1 Carnitas, 1 Bisteck

David ordered two of the same that I did, plus 1 bisteck (finely chopped beef).  David was quite impressed with how fresh the tacos were, and how different they are from the stuff at “the Bell” 🙂  We also have a shared appreciation for generous amounts of cilantro!

Also gets David's seal of approval!

Good times – nice, quick lunch – for $20 (including tax & tip!)
